Gaius Valerius Catullus (born in Verona in 84 BC and died in Rome in 54 BC) is the Roman poet who most of all perhaps spoke of love in his poems, listed in the “Liber” collection, which it is the main work of the poet; among his most famous love poems are those concerning Lesbia (Clodia), but there are also other male and female lovers, as well as a collection of very thick erotic poems.

The love poems of Catullus are indeed numerous; in fact, one could say that the main theme of his poems is love.
